HOW WE BECAME COCKAPOO BREEDERS

Thanks for visiting our website. I am called Mark James. The Jame’s family are the owners of Newdawn Cockapoos. My wife and I are pet lovers so we took up the initiative to breed these lovely dog breed to satisfy the needs of families who will want to own or add a new member to their family. My knowledge about the Cockapoo has grown as the years go by as they are a dog breed that are very smart and make us to learn new things everyday. My history with owning a puppy goes right back to my Christmas holidays when I was 10 years old. My parents bought me a lovely mini Cockapoo puppy which I named Liam. Liam gave me a lot of childhood memories when I was growing as a teen. He was more than a best friend to me. He was so lovely and friendly. Each time I got angry back then about something, Liam was always there to console me and make me smile again. I always thought he could talk as he understood me so much. I always speak to him at times hoping he will respond. Everywhere I went to,Liam was with me. I met my wife in college. We were very good friends back then. She loved Liam until she insisted her parents should get her a Cockapoo. That was how our love for this lovely dog breed grew up.Our dogs use to play together.Unfortunately in our later years at college, I lost my lovely puppy Liam. We grew up loving each other so much and loving this dog breed. Later on, we got married and with our love for Cockapoos, we decided to breed and raise this dog breed and why not educate puppy lovers about the importance of owning a Cockapoo puppy. Fast forward to today, we breed this lovely dog breed in our 3 acres of land where our puppies have enough space to play around. My family and I are dedicated to help everyone own the perfect, healthy puppy for their home. With our knowledge of this dog breed from childhood, we will say Cockapoos are the best dogs to own. Temperamen and Intelligencet:

The Cockerdoodle dog is known for his sweet, happy, and gentle personality. A multigeneration crossing offspring usually takes the sweet disposition of the Cocker Spaniel and the intelligence of the Poodle. Cockerdoodle is a people-oriented dog that thrives in the presence of his family. He can suffer from separation anxiety when left alone for long periods? although an adaptable designer dog, the Cockapoo should live inside the house since he was bred as a companion dog. The Cockerdoodle dog can be active, but also enjoys lazing around with his owners. He gets along with humans and other pets. He generally loves children but would thrive with older kids who know how to handle dogs.

The Cockapoo breed is generally smart and eager to please, making him easy to train. He excels as a service or support dog because of his intellect and temperament. He can easily retain the lessons learned. Although each breed may have a certain predisposition on temperament and intelligence, one must remember that a unique personality can also be exhibited. Many factors play significant roles in shaping a dog’s character and skills. These factors include the dog’s living environment and training. Give your Cockapoo dog the love and patience that he deserves, and you will be guaranteed to get a loyal, well-balanced canine companion in return.

Nutrition and Feeding:

As a guide, a typical food serving size for an adult Cockapoo is a ¼ to ¾ cup of high-quality dry dog food per day. The exact feeding quantity depends on the dog’s age, size, build, activity level, and metabolism. The Cockerdoodle needs a high-quality diet comprising of wholefoods. Try to avoid dog-food brands with low-grade fillers and by-products. Since this Poodle cross-breed is prone to eye problems, he could benefit from adding carrots, blueberries, eggs, and kale in his diet.

Make sure to select a dog food that is rich in protein. Protein, such as beef, fish, eggs, and poultry, helps to build and maintain the dog’s muscle, organs, bones, and immune system. Whereas good fats, such as chicken fat, lamb fat, and fats coming from sunflower oil, provide energy.

Health and Exercise:

As a small dog breed with a long lifespan, on average, the Cockapoo can live up to 14–18 years. He is generally a healthy breed, but he can be predisposed to certain health problems of his parent breeds. These include Patellar luxation, Liver disease, Hip dysplasia, Ear infections, Cataracts, Allergies.

The Spoodle has a moderate energy level and requires sixty minutes of exercise daily. This could be in the form of short walks or games in the garden. As an agile dog, he will also enjoy a good swimming session and regular training sessions.

Grooming:

The Cockapoo is a moderate shedder, and requires minimal grooming, his hair is typically kept in its natural state. Cockapoo does not require regular trips to the groomers, unlike his parent breed Poodle. All he needs is daily brushing to avoid matting. He can be bathed once every few months or as needed. Some choose to have the coat clipped, but it should only be trimmed a few inches around the eyes. The Cockerdoodle inherited the odourless and hypoallergenic coat of the Poodle. He has also taken on various colour combinations seen in the Cocker Spaniel and Poodle, such as white, black, tan, red, brown, and brindle.

The rest is basic grooming, such as keeping the ears clean and dry to prevent infection. Don’t forget to brush their teeth for overall oral health, and trimming the nails to avoid painful overgrowth.
